Welcome

Tom and Anne Paine have established their Textiles and Ceramics Studios at their home in Central Andover.  Their studios are in a little haven of green surrounded by all the character and depth of Victorian red brick buildings.

Anne has been sewing for many years.  Having completed her City and Guilds in Patchwork, Quilting and Appliqué, she maintains many projects on the go.  Her interests have broadened into interior furnishings in modern cottons, using appliqué, screen printing and other techniques besides patchwork.  Having taught patchwork previously she is planning to open up this field again (see the Cotton page) but reflecting her wider interests of fabric in the home.

Tom undertook several ceramics courses after retiring early.  His interest was started as a teenager and he decided to return to his creative and perhaps artistic side after his professional career in engineering.  After seeking advice on how to set up a pottery he converted and built some sheds at the end of the garden and now produces functional pieces for the home that he hopes are both useful and beautiful.

This site has pages reflecting our interests as shown in the menu to the left.  Under Clay and Cotton you will find more about what we make and a gallery of work.  Currently there is no shop on the website but that may change.  You are always welcome to make contact and arrange to visit our studios and small gallery.  The Events page shows what where we exhibited and sold our products and more importantly where they are available in the future.  If you want to know more about us or this site then please select the appropriate button.

We hope that you enjoy your website visit and will come and see us at an event or make contact to arrange a studio visit:
